The C1000 Gen 2 was $499.98 on its Amazon listing (ASIN B0FN7MSY4L), listed down from $599.00. On 25 August the C2000 read $999.99 on Amazon while Anker’s own SOLIX store showed $949.99 with an auto-applied code; the two channels have since converged on the lower figure. Capacity, output, charge times, solar input, weight and dimensions come from the comparison table Anker publishes on its own Amazon listing, cross-checked against ankersolix.com. Where a cell says “see listing” we could not confirm the figure from a primary source on 25 August 2026, so we have not guessed at it. We have not hands-on tested these units.
The pricing is no longer linear — and what still decides it
At the prices we read on 2 September 2026, $499.98 → $949.99 is a $450.01 step for exactly double the battery. The second kilowatt-hour costs about a tenth less than the first, so the step is no longer proportional. On 25 August the same two listings read $499.98 and $999.99 — a $500.01 step — and we wrote then that there was no hidden bargain on either side. That is not what the numbers say today. Prices in this category move; read both listings on the day you buy.
Expandability remains the structural difference, and it does not move with the price. The C2000 Gen 2 accepts a BP2000 Gen 2 expansion battery and doubles again to 4kWh. The C1000 Gen 2 accepts nothing. Buy the C1000 Gen 2 and you have bought your ceiling. Buy the C2000 Gen 2 and you have bought a starting point.
Careful — Anker sells two different 2kWh models
This trips people up constantly, and the naming does not help. The C2000 Gen 2 is not the same thing as the S2000, and they are not simply different generations of one product.

Both hold roughly 2kWh. But the S2000 is rated 1,500W — which is less than the far smaller C1000 Gen 2’s 2,000W. It is designed to run modest loads for a very long time, and Anker quotes up to 35 hours of fridge backup. The C2000 Gen 2 is rated 2,400W and is the genuinely more capable machine.

2,400W rated and 4,000W peak against 2,000W and 3,000W. Owners report running a 13,500 BTU RV air conditioner from it. Note one real-world caveat from a verified buyer: when the C2000 Gen 2 is charging from AC at the same time, its output is limited to 1,800W.

- The C2000 Gen 2 wins on paper across the board. More capacity, more output, more peak, more solar input, alternator charging. That is unusual — most step-ups involve a compromise.
- You pay less than proportionally for it. $450.01 more for double the battery at the prices we read on 2 September 2026 — a step that was $500.01 on 25 August.
- Expandability is the real decision. 4kWh ceiling versus no ceiling at all.
- Weight is the real cost. 67% heavier. If it leaves the house often, that matters more than watt-hours.
- Do not confuse the C2000 Gen 2 with the S2000. Same rough capacity, very different output.

The decision usually comes down to one feature that is not on the price tag: the C2000 Gen 2 expands to 4kWh with a BP2000 expansion battery, and the C1000 Gen 2 does not expand at all. If you may ever need more than a day of backup, that ceiling matters more than the watt-hours you get on day one.

- The smaller one, as you would expect. The C1000 Gen 2 reaches a full 100% in about 49 minutes; the C2000 Gen 2 takes about 58 minutes despite holding twice the energy, which is impressive rather than slow.
